The Oracle is proud to announce the launch of Unseen Aware, an innovative e-learning platform designed to equip retail staff with the knowledge and confidence to support individuals with hidden disabilities. Launching on Tuesday, 12th November in line with Purple Tuesday, this initiative seeks to create a more inclusive environment for all, extending beyond The Oracle’s walls to inspire a town-wide movement in Reading.

Hidden disabilities, such as ADHD, autism, fibromyalgia, and hearing loss, often come with unique challenges that may be difficult to recognise. Through Unseen Aware’s training platform, staff at The Oracle receive comprehensive training on how to interact empathetically with those who may require additional support. As a visible mark of their training, participating staff members wear badges that identify them as Unseen Disabilities allies, fostering a welcoming and understanding environment for all shoppers.
